In addition to the capabiltiy of our individual members, we have two Amateur Radio Stations. One station is located at Christiana Hospital and the other still under construction is located at Wilmington Hospital. Additionally we also have access to a state of the art mobile communications trailer that is owned by one of our volunteer members. The mobile communication trailer is called the Emergency Communication Unit.

Christiana & Wilmington Hospitals
The stations at each hospital consists of the following equipment.

  • ICOM 718 HF Radio
  • Kantronics KAM XL for HF Digital Modes and VHF Packet
  • B&W 1.8 - 30 MHz HF Antenna
  • ICOM V8000 VHF Radio (Packet)
  • Cushcraft AR-270 VHF Antenna (VHF Packet)
  • Alinco DR-620T VHF/UHF Radio (Voice)
  • Diamond X-510 VHF/UHF Antenna
  • Astron 30 AMP Power Supply w/Meters

  • Diamond X-510 VHF/UHF Antenna
